Greetings! I am Sol Amparo Evans, founder of Mind, Body, & Sol Counseling and Consultations (MBS). I am a licensed professional counselor of mental health. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently licensed as a professional counselor in Delaware and Pennsylvania. I am also a National Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. My experience as a therapist covers 10 years of working with children, adolescents, women, families, and couples. I certified in EMDR, trauma informed care, CBT, and utilize Biblical principals in my work with clients. 

I enjoy working with women. I specialize in working with women issues, relationship conflict, anxiety, trauma, esteem, and self-exploration. I help women to make meaningful changes in their lives. Jihan Owens-Tyler is a psychotherapist with over ten years of clinical experience. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and minor in Ethnic Studies from Shippensburg University, and her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling and Psychology with a certification in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chestnut Hill College. Jihan is currently enrolled in Antioch University’s Doctorate of Couple and Family Therapy program. Jihan has worked with various populations ranging in age, mental health diagnoses, and levels of care. She has been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, prolonged exposure CBT, structural family therapy, emotion focused family therapy, trauma-informed care and psychoanalytic therapies. Jihan has extensive experience working with clients presenting with anxiety, depression, stress, familial conflicts, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, family of origin and coming of age issues. Jihan’s passion and mission has always been to support and uplift people of color and marginalized individuals. The underrepresentation of BIPOC clinicians has made this work imperative to her and for her community. Jihan has always been motivated to help others during their time of need and is excited to become a part of the Mind, Body & Sol practice and assist clients

Marcia Griffy-Rooks has a strong background in the mental health field, as she has worked with the mental health community for over 15 years.  Her passion comes from her desire to please, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ as she is a strong believer in the teachings of the Bible.
 

She has a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling psychology with school counseling certification. Her background also includes working as a mobile therapist, a family-based therapist, an inpatient counselor, and a grief counselor at her local Church.
 

Therefore, Marcia will bring a client centered approach that will impact and empower her clients to receive the proper therapeutic treatment that includes therapy from the perspective of one’s, mind, body and soul!

Devin Rooks is a newly licensed social worker in the states of Delaware and has a strong background working with adolescents and at-risk youth. Devin attended West Chester University, receiving both her bachelor’s and master’s degree through an accelerated program in 2022.

Devin has had experience as a mobile therapist, working with families and children using an ecosystemic structural family therapy model. During this time, she was trained in structural family therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing,  and trauma-informed care. Currently, Devin works with adolescents in alternative schools, providing support for students transitioning back to their comprehensive schools and resources needed to be successful in the future.

Devin also has a strong influence from her belief in Christ and implements Biblical and holistic principles into her approach to therapy. She is open to working with all BIPOC, having a passion for the community and being of it herself, and is excited to continue to be a support to her community through Mind, Body and Sol.

Hi, my name is Michele Howard. I am originally from the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. I had the pleasure of graduating from Salisbury University and Delaware State University during the pandemic with my Bachelors and then Masters degree in Social Work one year apart. My favorite quotes are “It only seems impossible until it's done.” – Nelson Mandela “Try to be the rainbow in someone’s cloud.” – Maya Angelou. I strive to support those struggling with anxiety, depression, and behavioral modification,  with most of my experience being with children and adolescents. I utilize a warm approach that includes client-centered and CBT interventions.  Therapy is a continuum, not a destination! I strive to guide my clients in understanding this statement. As we work together, you will learn more about you, your life, and the influence of your environment on you.  While growth is inevitable, you choose when the growth happens. Whether growth happens today or one day, I will be here to guide you every step of the way!

Mr. Japheth Cofield has a master's degree in mental health counseling and a

bachelor's degree in psychology. He has several years of experience providing mental health support and counseling to

children, families, couples and the elderly. He aims

to equip individuals with the necessary cognitive 

tools to actualize healing or change. He looks forward to supporting

his clients through developing self awareness, maintaining important 

relationships, building self-esteem, and identifying personal coping skills.

Dr. Moriel McDuffy spent 25 years working with the neediest youth and families in the community. He
used clinical skills to empower underserved populations to change. Dr. McDuffy received a master’s
degree in Community Counseling Psychology in 2006 from Springfield College and a Ph.D. in Psychology
from Capella University in 2016. Dr. McDuffy enjoys working with various populations, but he
specializes in treating children and adolescents with behavior issues through family engagement. His
professional experiences include treating youth with stress, anxiety, depression, attention deficit
disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and inappropriate sexual behaviors.
Dr. McDuffy has expertise in issues that men and boys face. Work in this area includes implementing
evidence-based violence prevention programs using Anger Regression Training and addressing intimate
partner violence with the Coaching Boys into Men curriculum.
An expert in job burnout and stress, he has a published dissertation in that area and provides training on
the topics. He utilizes strength-based approaches and trauma-informed approaches to help people. Dr.
McDuffy operates through the core belief that everyone has a purpose, is worthy of that purpose, and
can thrive.

Mrs. Bianco is a dedicated therapist with a strong interest in the ways interpersonal relationships shape both individual and collective mental health. A graduate of Pepperdine University, she brings a compassionate and relational approach to her work with diverse populations. Her therapeutic style is grounded in empathy, understanding, and collaboration, creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment. With a deep commitment to helping individuals strengthen self-awareness and emotional resilience, Mrs. Bianco integrates evidence-based practices with genuine human connection to promote lasting personal growth and healing.

She has decades of experience with customer service, herbal holistic care, entrepreneurship, and serving as a lay counselor. Additionally, she manages our social media.
