About Me
Jihan Owens-Tyler is a psychotherapist with over ten years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families across diverse ages, diagnoses, and levels of care. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in Ethnic Studies, from Shippensburg University, and her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling and Psychology, with certification in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Chestnut Hill College. Jihan is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Couple and Family Therapy at Antioch University.
Jihan’s clinical approach is integrative and trauma-informed. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure CBT, Structural and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, psychoanalytic approaches, and trauma-informed care. She has extensive experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, PTSD, family conflict, family-of-origin concerns, and coming-of-age challenges.
At the heart of Jihan’s work is a deep commitment to supporting and uplifting people of color and marginalized individuals. The underrepresentation of BIPOC clinicians has shaped both her professional mission and her dedication to community-centered healing. Jihan is passionate about creating a therapeutic space that feels affirming, culturally responsive, and empowering.
She is honored to join the Mind, Body & Sol team and looks forward to walking alongside clients with care, intention, and respect during their healing journey.
