About Me
Dr. Moriel McDuffy brings over 25 years of experience working with some of the most vulnerable youth and families in the community. Throughout his career, he has utilized strong clinical and leadership skills to empower underserved populations and support meaningful, lasting change.
Dr. McDuffy earned his Master’s degree in Community Counseling Psychology from Springfield College in 2006 and completed his Ph.D. in Psychology at Capella University in 2016. He works with a wide range of populations, with a clinical focus on children and adolescents presenting with behavioral challenges, emphasizing family engagement as a core component of treatment.
His professional experience includes supporting youth navigating stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and problematic or inappropriate sexual behaviors. Dr. McDuffy also has specialized expertise in addressing the unique challenges faced by men and boys, including the implementation of evidence-based violence prevention programs such as Aggression Replacement Training and the Coaching Boys into Men curriculum to address intimate partner violence.
In addition, Dr. McDuffy is an expert in job burnout and stress, having published his doctoral dissertation on the topic. He provides training and consultation in these areas and integrates strength-based and trauma-informed approaches in his work with individuals and organizations.
Dr. McDuffy practices from the core belief that every person has a purpose, is worthy of that purpose, and has the capacity to thrive. He is committed to helping clients recognize their strengths and move forward with confidence, clarity, and resilience.
